The Process
The process of energy rating involves inspecting your proposed design and investigating all of the features of the dwelling that could provide heat gain or loss. We can estimate the rating from floor plans or by visiting existing homes.
The Energy Rating Consultancy can also assess extensions or alterations to see if they affect your home's Energy Rating.
We also offer an design solutions service to help you maximize your energy efficiency by assessing your current floor plans and providing the necessary adjustments to achieve a 5 Star rating.
Procedure
To conduct an Energy Rating assessment we will need:
- 2 sets of physical detailed drawings or an AutoCad file of the floor and elevation plans. AutoCad files can be emailed to:
- Descriptions of window types (timber or aluminum), floor coverings (carpet, floorboards, floating floors, tiles), external and internal wall construction
- Description of obstructions from neighboring properties (i.e. Tall trees, high rise buildings, etc.)
